2.  Individual Planning:  Assists students in monitoring and understating their development in next-step decisions in planning and goal setting, such as development of a healthy self-image, awareness of educational advancement opportunities, and knowledge and awareness of career and occupational training.

3.  Responsive Services:  The counselor assists in prevention and intervention, and addresses issues such as relationships, grief, loss, truancy, drop-out prevention, and academic conduct.

4.  System Support:  Includes program and staff support activities and services for the school and community; guidance program development, staff development for educators, public relations, counselor's professional development, and school improvement planning.
